in Cheshire. 25 vehicles supply over 800 meals per day. |

up personnel in place in the event of breakdown,
illness or accident.
- Maintain 25 vans for daily use
- Maintain, service and supply gas and equipment
for the food heating ovens of the vans
- To order, store and distribute the meals required

- Maintain cold storage for emergency needs as daily/weekly
needs
- Staff training on vehicles, ovens, routes etc
- Liaising with C.C.C. and Social Services on the
customer needs

| How could it be made interesting
and appropriate? |
- Children could be taken thru a request for the
service from C.C.C., Social Services, Doctor or
Family
- Project made to show the path of the enquiry will
take to deliveries being made, including how the
vehicle is prepared, loaded, heated and the meal
delivered.
- Site visit to see the vehicles, ovens in them
and cold storage.

| Background information |
- Visits can be to the school or to the site.
- Ideally visits should be between 11am and 1pm
- There is a minor Health & Safety risk from
moving vehicles and hot gas powered ovens
- Ideally a visit to the site should be no more
than 10 children.
